Research Symposium - Scholar Conference

Scholar Conference Participant

This Registration site is for participants of McNair or other special Scholar programs and their sponsors who are going to participate in the two day (Thursday and Friday) conference.

OSU students or other students wishing to register for the OSU Research Symposium should use the standard Research Symposium site.

Instructions for Submission:

To help us with attendance, all people (students and their sponsors) attending the conference must register.
Please fill in all the blanks below.
A presenter is limited to one presentation (either a poster or a paper). Multiple presentations can not be accepted.
The abstract must be limited to 200 words or less.
Please spell check your 200 word abstract prior to submission.
If your abstract uses special characters (&, %, #, greek letters, etc.) or figures, it is recommended that you email it to the organizers (see options below).
When the form is completed, press the "submit" button.
If there are any errors, you will be prompted to return and fill in or correct the information.
After submitting the form a page titled "Registration Successful" will appear and you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
All submissions become the property of the OSU Graduate College and will be posted on our web site and in a Book of Abstracts.
It is assumed that the first author of the presentation will complete this form and will act as the principle contact.

Abstract Information

Please read these guidelines for Abstract preparation before submitting:

Only submit the body of your abstract. You have given us the other needed information (title, other authors, etc.) in the spaces above.
The body of the abstract must be limited to 200 words or less. Any abstract over 200 words will be returned.
If your abstract needs to include diagrams or numerical information, you should submit your abstract via email. Details are provided below.
If your abstract uses special characters such as: %, #, or greek characters, italics (such as for Latin names) you should submit your abstract via email.. Details are provided below.
Please proofread and spell check your abstract carefully. We will publish the abstract as submitted.
Do not include the presentation title or names of other authors in the abstract submission. The submission should only be the body of the abstract as you want it listed in the abstract book.
You will be given the opportunity in February to review your abstract and make corrections (if needed).

Option 1. Enter the body of your abstract in the space below, exactly as you want it to appear in the Book of Abstracts.
Hard returns may be used, but please try to keep your abstract to one paragraph.
