  Name: The Five College Fellowship for Minority Scholars Program  
     
  Purpose: Five College Fellowships offer year-long residencies for doctoral students completing dissertations. The program supports scholars from under-represented groups, and/or scholars with unique interests and histories, whose engagement in the Academy will enrich scholarship and teaching. Normally, four fellowships are awarded each year. Each Fellow is hosted within an appropriate department or program at one of the four member colleges of the Five College consortium, Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, or Smith. (At Smith, recipients hold a Mendenhall Fellowship.)  
     
  Field: All Fields  
       
  Eligibility: For doctoral candidates of underrepresented groups who have completed all requirements except their dissertation.  
       
  Amount: $30,000 plus office space, housing assistance, and library privileges at the five colleges.  
       
  Deadline: 12/01/2009
