Purpose:

Annual award to increase the number of African Americans in the pipeline of biomedical science education and research.

Field:

Biological and Physical Sciences

Eligibility:

Must be African-American; be enrolled full-time in a doctoral program in the biomedical life or physical sciences; be within 1-3 years of completing dissertation research; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.See web site for postdoc criteria.

Amount:

$52,000 for grad students, and $85,000 for postdoctoral researchers
