- AIGC Fellowship for Native American Graduate Students
- The American Indian Graduate Center (AIGC) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has available graduate fellowships for American Indian and Alaska Native students from federally recognized U.S. tribes. Follow the link to their fellowship application. Students can download the application from their website. Typically, a completed application is due by late May of each year. First time applicants must pay a $15 one-time application fee.

- Andrew W. Mellon Foundation/Acls Dissertation Completion Fellowships
- The first part of the Mellon/Acls Early Career Fellowships Program, began in the 2006-07 competition. These year-long fellowships support of PhD dissertation completion in the humanities and related social sciences. The total award of up to $33,000 includes a stipend plus additional funds for university fees and research support. Under this program, ACLS will award 65 Fellowships to graduate students, who will be expected to complete their dissertations within the period of their fellowship tenure or shortly thereafter.

- American Association of University Women (AAUW) Educational Foundation
- The AAUW Educational Foundation is one of the largest sources of funding in the world exclusively for graduate women. The Foundation supports aspiring scholars around the globe, teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.

- American Council of Learned Societies
- The American Council of Learned Societies' mission is the advancement of humanistic studies in all fields of learning in the humanities and the social sciences and the maintenance and strengthening of relations among the national societies devoted to such studies. ACLS is perhaps best known as providing funding to humanities research through fellowships and grants awarded to individuals and, on occasion, to groups and institutions.

- Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships
- designed to encourage original and significant study of ethical or religious values in all fields of the humanities and social sciences. In addition to topics in religious studies or in ethics (philosophical or religious), dissertations might consider the ethical implications of foreign policy, the values influencing political decisions, the moral codes of other cultures, and religious or ethical issues reflected in history or literature. Fellows will receive $18,500 for 12 months of full-time dissertation writing. Approximately 28 non-renewable fellowships will be awarded from among more than 400 applications.

- Henry Luce Foundation/Acls Program In East And Southeast Asian Archaeology And Early History
- offers fellowships for postdoctoral and dissertation research and grants for advanced training, translation of significant scholarly texts, and participation in summer fieldschools. Awards will be made to scholars from East/Southeast Asia and the United States/Canada. Research may concern historical or pre-historic periods, but must be based on excavated materials. Proposals for collaboration with colleagues and institutions across regions are especially encouraged. - Henry Luce Foundation/Acls Dissertation Fellowships In American Art
- are designated for doctoral students at US institutions in any stage of dissertation research or writing. These year-long fellowships support dissertations on topics in the history of visual arts of the United States (focused on art objects) and provide a stipend of $25,000.

- National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program

The purpose of the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program is to ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science and engineering in the United States and to reinforce its diversity. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in the relevant science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees, including women in engineering and computer and information science. NSF Fellows are expected to become knowledge experts who can contribute significantly to research, teaching, and innovations in science and engineering. These individuals will be crucial to maintaining and advancing the nation's technological infrastructure and national security as well as contributing to the economic well-being of society at large.
So that the nation can build fully upon the strength and creativity of a diverse society, the Foundation welcomes applications from all qualified individuals and strongly encourages women, minorities, and persons with disabilities to compete fully in this program.

- National Physical Science Consortium (NPSC) Fellowship
- If you aspire to achieve a doctoral degree and career in the physical sciences, biochemistry, computer science, and related fields of science and engineering, you may be a potential NPSC Fellow. NPSC offers a unique Ph.D.-track graduate fellowship in the physical sciences and related engineering fields. It is open to all U. S. Citizens, but with emphasis on recruitment of applications from historically underrepresented minorities and women. NPSC offers three related programs.
- A two-phase, six year fellowship program: the NPSC Fellowship can cover the first two or three years of graduate school.
- A dissertation support program: students apply in the year prior to starting their PhD research.
- A summer internship program: assists NPSC employer-members in recruiting and selecting applicants for summer internships.

- Paul and Daisey Soros Fellowship
- Students applying for this fellowship must either:
- currently hold a Green Card as a resident alien, or
- have become a naturalized citizen of the United States, or
- be the child of parents who have both become naturalized citizens.
Fellowships may be awarded to students who have obtained their Bachelor's degree or who are enrolled in their final year of undergraduate study. Students already engaged in graduate study are also encouraged to apply.
Value: Students awarded P.D. Soros Fellowships will be provided with a maintenance grant of $20,000 in addition to a tuition grant equaling one half of tuition costs. Fellowship funding may be extended for a maximum of two years.
Application: All applicants are required complete an application involving two essays, a resume, and related forms. In addition, students are required to secure letters of recommendation from one academic source and one occupational source. - Sigma Xi: The Scientific Research Society Fellowship
- The program awards grants of up to $1,000 to students from all areas of the sciences and engineering. Designated funds from the National Academy of Sciences allow for grants of up to $5,000 for astronomy research and $2,500 for vision related research. Students use the funding to pay for travel expenses to and from a research site, or for purchase of non-standard laboratory equipment necessary to complete a specific research project.

- Tau Beta Pi Fellowship
- The Fellowship Program is Tau Beta Pi's single most important project for the advancement of engineering education and the profession. It is a time-proven idea which was pioneered by Tau Beta Pi in the honor-society field. The plan was adopted by the 1928 Convention as a result of the recommendation and labors of President A. D. Moore. Tau Beta Pi fellows are free to do graduate work in any field which will enable them to contribute to the engineering profession.

- UNCF ° Pfizer Postdoctoral Fellowship
- The UNCF-Pfizer Postdoctoral Fellowship is funding postdoctoral fellowships. At least four (4) postdoctoral fellowships are awarded. To qualify, the student should be:
- A member of a minority group that is under-represented in the biomedical science research fields.
- A post-graduate holding a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a life or physical science currently or by the end of the academic year.
Each fellowship will provide a maximum of around $53,500 for support, which includes a stipend of around $44,500, fringe benefits of around $4,000 and supplies, equipment and travel of around $5,000. The fellowship is intended to provide 12-24 months of support. Application deadline is usually the middle of April for each year.

- Women's Transportation Seminar Helene M. Overly Memorial Graduate Scholarship
- established in 1981 to encourage women pursuing career paths in transportation. The scholarship is awarded to women pursuing graduate studies in transportation or a related field. The scholarship is in the amount of $6,000. The minimum criteria for selection are as follows:
- Open to women
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics
- Plan to pursue a career in a transportation-related field
Applications must be submitted through a local WTS chapter. The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills and academic record. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Local WTS chapters may have their own requirements (such as personal interviews, GPA or statement).

- The Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowships in Women's Studies
- encourage original and significant research about women that crosses disciplinary, regional, or cultural boundaries. Previous Fellows have explored such topics as women's role in African American adult literacy, women's sports, militarism and the education of American women, the urban crisis, gender and globalization in Indian film, and the dynamics of employment and childbearing.
Students in doctoral programs in any field of study at graduate schools in the United States are eligible to apply. Candidates must have completed all pre-dissertation requirements, including approval of the dissertation proposal, and expect to complete one year from application. Candidates who are within a few months of completing their work should not apply.
Fellows will receive $3,000 to be used for expenses connected with the dissertation. These may include, but are not limited to, travel, books, microfilming, taping, and computer services.
